Horrible conditions at Belgrade Train Station

LEGIS team passed through Belgrade today, to meet partners and see friends. The situation with the refugees living around the Belgrade Train Station is still not resolved. Although a tad of good will to protect this people from the cold has been shown,  since today, part of the refugees that are staying in the abandoned warehouse behind the train station in Belgrade had the opportunity to be moved into more appropriate shelter, in the Obrenovac camp. The capacity in the camp is much smaller than the need, but the officials stated that the priority is given to the most vulnerable.

Yet, hundreds will stay, still living in these horrible conditions, in the torn walls, exposed to the freezing temperatures, exposed to the suffocating smoke from the fires they lit, with one meal per day that they get after waiting in line for an hour.
