International Human Rights Day

On the International Human Rights Day, 10 December, NGO Legis completed the project Aware and Active, which was realized with the support of the National Agency for European Educational Programs and Mobility of the Republic of Macedonia.  40 participants from different towns and ethnicities attended the last event held at the Hotel Scardus, located at Popova Shapka.  The event was called Young Together and was simultaneously held in several European countries participating in the same project.  Young people had the opportunity to be acquainted with the achievements of the project so far, to repeat the knowledge on various topics, ranging from human rights, migration, to freedom of speech, xenophobia, and racism.  At the last activity, all participants joined a coordinated Twitter storm from 11 A.M. to 13 P.M., where they shared some of the messages, activities, photos, and videos that they made as part of this project.  This was also shared on other social networks.  The ultimate result, just on this Twitter storm, was the visibility of up to 650,000 Twitter users, while the visibility on other social networks was also great.  In addition to the participants, the representatives of the National Agency for European Educational Programs and Mobility of the Republic of Macedonia were also satisfied with the event, while we also got praise from the participants from other countries for the original ideas.
