Legis continues to provide humanitarian aid for refugees from Ukraine, supported by Global Fund for Children

With the support of the Global Fund for Children, Legis continues to provide humanitarian aid for

refugees from Ukraine residing in North Macedonia. In cooperation with the local organization Lesja

Ukrainka in Skopje, we’ve managed to reach out to people in need in Skopje, Tetovo, Valandovo, Vinica

Berovo and Bitola and distributed 60 food and 60 hygiene packages for two month for 30 families, winter clothes and shoes for each person.

Legis began providing humanitarian aid for Ukraine by sending humanitarian aid directly in Ukraine in

cooperation with local organization Lesja Ukrainka and the Embassy of Ukraine in 2022. We’ve managed

to continue the support for refugees arriving in North Macedonia and now, with the support of GFC,

provided much needed winter clothes as addition to the humanitarian packages.

Legis team arranged for separate meetings with all families and individuals in respect to specific needs

and/or distributed the packages outside of Skopje and provided transportation for those families that

were not able to come. Our approach is direct and in regards to the needs of people which reflected the

smiles and moments of happiness and kind words for Legis team. Most comments are focused on the

humanitarian packages as Legis has experience with refugees and provides what is really needed. The

key aspect is providing services with respect to ones humanity and understanding of the effects wars

have on people. Legis also provides space for volunteering as most people expressed interest to

contribute their time and love and support others in need through our activities.

Our team will continue to work in providing aid and safe space for all people in need.
