International Conference on Migration

Skopje, 19.05.2023 “Mother Teresa” University in Skopje held the 7th edition of the International Conference on Migration entitled “Migration trends, challenges, priorities and new policy paths”, in partnership with UNT’s partner universities in the region and Europe such as the University of Sassari, the University of Pristina, the University of Elbasan, the “Aleksandar Moisiu” University of Durrës, the International University of Burçi and the NGO Legis. At the conference, the main speaker was Mr. Jasmin Redjepi, the general secretary from Legis, who shared with the attendees important data and information regarding the role of the civil sector and the management of the refugee crisis in the Republic of North Macedonia and beyond.
Many participants took part in the conference: the Deputy Minister of Education and Science Agim Nuhiu, Dejan Ivkovski from the Department of Migration and Humanitarian Aid at the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, Goran Pavllovski from the Department of Border Affairs and Migration at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the host Prof. dr. Rizvan Sulejmani, vice-rector for international cooperation, dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Dr. Diturie Ismaili, moderator Doc.dr. Elisabeta Ollogu, as well as 60 scientific researchers from the country, the region and Europe, through physical and online presence.
The conference was held in two sessions where the works of candidates, scientific researchers from the country, region and beyond were presented to a large number of participants.
